There are a few options for what to wear.
Official VBS Shirt - These will be ordered at the beginning of July, assuming we can still order them. Cost: $10/shirt
Children's Ministry shirts - free
Personal costume - Must be provided for yourself unless told otherwise. **All costumes must be deemed appropriate according to the children's ministry handbook rules.
*We ask that you wear comfortable shoes that will not fall off. We require everyone to wear footwear at all times.
*Bottoms must be comfortable to play in without constant adjustment. Please verify they are the correct size, sitting at your hips, are long enough to cover your backside, and are hole-free.
We ask that EVERYONE involved in VBS begin praying today. We will also send out a prayer calendar with prompts.
We'd like to know when you are available. We know summer can be hard to give 5 nights in a row, so if you're planning to be gone, we'd like to plan accordingly. :)
Every volunteer is required to complete an in-person training. We will provide 2 sessions approx. 3 weeks before VBS. If you cannot attend either of those trainings, you'll need to contact Kristen Ruopsa to schedule a one-on-one training. In addition, all workers on site 18+ during VBS hours will need to submit to a background check and child safety training.
